“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.”
Whatever. Kids say that a lot these days, and it usually means it’s not important.
But when an angel showed up to tell Mary she would be the mother of the Lord, she was a little more in awe.
Wouldn’t it be great if we responded like she did whenever we heard from God, or read His Word.
“I’m your servant,” she said. ” Whatever you say is OK with me.”
Being a servant puts a whole new spin on “whatever.”
