I suppose there is some value to a conscious incompetence as opposed to a false confidence. But at this point I’ll be happy if I can have a slow conversation with a very patient Nepali.
Any “plan” to work in a developing country has unexpected challenges and complications, more so in a worldwide pandemic.
In a pandemic year the answers are shifting beneath my feet, even as we make (uncertain) plans for how to use this time for the greatest benefit.
It’s also 2020, about 8 months since I had Covid-19. And the world is closed, mostly. At least the corner where I want to go: Nepal.
Just take one step after another, across a good and level land, with blessings all around and just ahead.
