A great soul
A great soul has experienced discomfort, and in the crucible of pain discovered a sensitivity and appreciation for what matters. I don't know how much pain it takes to have a great soul, but it takes some.
Motivation motivations
Dad risked loving people who weren't all that lovely, or who were disloyal and faithless. And he did this because he believed the gospel had the power to transform people. It had certainly transformed him.
On motivation
At some point you have to do the uncomfortable thing. You might fail, but you learn something. But if you don’t do it, then you do fail, and learn nothing.
Money matters
I have a productive life, but it hasn’t produced much money. And practically no assets. So I wonder if I need any, and how much effort I should put into acquiring them. And I wonder if it’s too late. And I wonder if it matters.
